For He saith to the snow, ‘Be thou on the earth’; likewise to the small rain and to the great rain of His strength.
For he saith to the snow, Fall thou on the earth; Likewise to the shower of rain, And to the showers of his mighty rain.
“For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; And [He speaks] to the showers and to the downpour [of His mighty rains], ‘Be strong.’
For He says to the snow, Fall on the earth; likewise He speaks to the showers and to the downpour of His mighty rains.
For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
For he says to the snow, “Fall to the earth,” and the torrential rains, his mighty torrential rains,
He says to the snow, “Fall to earth,” and to the downpour of rain, “Be a mighty shower.”
He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth!’ — likewise to the light rain, also to the downpour.
Snow and heavy rainstorms
For he saith to the snow, Fall on the earth! and to the pouring rain, even the pouring rains of his might.
He commandeth the snow to go down upon the earth, and the winter rain, and the shower of his strength.
He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth.’ And he says to the rain, ‘Pour down on the earth.’
He tells the snow to fall to the earth. He tells the rain to pour down and make the ground wet.
To the snow he says, “Fall on the earth.” To the pouring rain, the torrential downpours of rain, he says, “Be strong.”
For to the snow he says, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the downpour, his mighty downpour.
For to the snow he says, ‘Fall on the earth’, likewise to the downpour, his mighty downpour.
He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the shower, ‘Be a heavy rain.’
For he saith to the snow, Be thou upon the earth likewise to the small rain and to the great rain of his power.
“He says to the snow, ‘Fall to the ground,’ and to the pouring rain, ‘Rain harder!’
He commands snow to fall on the earth, and sends torrents of drenching rain.
For He says to the snow, “Fall to the earth,” and the torrential rains, His mighty torrential rains,
God says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth.’ And he says to the rain shower, ‘Be a heavy rain.’
For he says to the snow, ‘Fall to the earth.’ He tells the rain, ‘Pour down,’ then it rains profusely.
¶ For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; rain after rain, and rain after rain in his strength.
For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
For to the snow He says, ‘Fall on the earth,’ And to the downpour of rain and the downpour of rains, ‘Be strong.’
For to the snow he says, ‘Fall on the earth’; and the shower of rain, his heavy shower of rain—
For he directs the snow, the showers, and storm to fall upon the earth.
“Whenever this happens, my heart stops— I’m stunned, I can’t catch my breath. Listen to it! Listen to his thunder, the rolling, rumbling thunder of his voice. He lets loose his lightnings from horizon to horizon, lighting up the earth from pole to pole. In their wake, the thunder echoes his voice, powerful and majestic. He lets out all the stops, he holds nothing back. No one can mistake that voice— His word thundering so wondrously, his mighty acts staggering our understanding. He orders the snow, ‘Blanket the earth!’ and the rain, ‘Soak the whole countryside!’ No one can escape the weather—it’s there. And no one can escape from God. Wild animals take shelter, crawling into their dens, When blizzards roar out of the north and freezing rain crusts the land. It’s God’s breath that forms the ice, it’s God’s breath that turns lakes and rivers solid. And yes, it’s God who fills clouds with rainwater and hurls lightning from them every which way. He puts them through their paces—first this way, then that— commands them to do what he says all over the world. Whether for discipline or grace or extravagant love, he makes sure they make their mark.
For He says to the snow, ‘Come on the earth,’ likewise to the gentle rain and to the heavy rain of His strength.
“He says to the snow, ‘Fall to the ground,’ and to the pouring rain, ‘Rain harder!’
He says to the snow, “Fall to the earth”; likewise to his heavy, drenching rain.
For to the snow He says, ‘Fall on the earth,’ And to the downpour and the rain, ‘Be strong.’
“For to the snow He says, ‘Fall on the earth,’ And to the downpour and the rain, ‘Be strong.’
For he says to the snow, ‘Fall upon the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Turn into a heavy downpour.’
He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the shower, ‘Be a heavy rain.’
For to the snow he says, ‘Fall to earth,’ and to the torrential rains, ‘Pour down.’
He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth.’ He tells the rain, ‘Pour down your mighty waters.’
He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’
He says to the snow, “Fall on the earth,” and to the rain shower, “Be a mighty downpour.”
For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.

For He saith to the snow, Fall thou to the eretz; likewise to the geshem matar, the heavy downpour of rain.
For to the snow he says, ‘Fall on the earth’; and to the shower and the rain, ‘Be strong.’
For to the snow he says, ‘Fall on the earth’; and to the shower and the rain, ‘Be strong.’
“For to the snow He says, ‘Fall to the earth,’ and to the torrential rain—be a mighty downpour of rain.
To the snow, He issues the order: “Go! Fall on the earth!” And to the rain shower, He says, “Show your power; beat down heavy on the earth!”
For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.
He it is that commandeth the snow to come down upon the earth (It is he who commandeth the snow to come down on the earth), and to the rains of winter, and to the rains of his strength.
For to snow He saith, `Be [on] the earth.' And the small rain and great rain of His power.
